  6. About DTX
  7. =========
  8. DTX is an editor for music, images, and digital sounds in the game
  9. Descent. It might also become a full-fledged Descent level editor,
  10. if I get enough encouragement from the right directions.
  11. DTX requires Windows 3.1 or higher.

  16. - HOG files: Import/export any resources
  17. - Music: Play, save as MIDI or HMP, replace with any MIDI or HMP file
  18. - Images: Display, animate, save as BMP, replace with any BMP file
  19. - Sounds: Play, save as WAV, replace with any WAV file
  20. - Supports Descent registered versions 1.0 and 1.4

  34. Installation
  35. ============
  36. Put the files DTX.EXE, DTX.DAT, and DTX.HLP in a directory of your
  37. choice. Create an icon for DTX.EXE, or run it from the File Manager.
  38. DTX will create the file DTX.INI in your Windows directory.

  41. Registration
  42. ============
  43. DTX is distributed as shareware. This means that you may use DTX
  44. for 30 days to evaluate it. If you continue to use it after that period,
  45. you must register the software.

  47. The cost is $15 US. If you are a CompuServe member you can register
  48. the product online by GOing SWREG and entering registration number 5995.
